Your first sprint, in about ten minutes.

What a workspace owner does on day one — in the order that avoids re-doing it on day two.

Step 1

Create the workspace

Sign up with your work email. You become the owner: the only role that can change the plan, erase the workspace or cancel the subscription.

Step 2

Set the roles and rates

Rates belong to roles, not to columns. Backend, frontend, QA, PM — one rate each, billed and payroll. Everything money-related is computed from this.

Step 3

Add the team

Type the people in, or import them from Jira or your HR system so logged hours land on the right person automatically.

Step 4

Connect Jira

An admin connects once for the whole workspace. Colleagues see the same Jira and connect nothing. Ask for read and write; the sync explains any refusal in Jira's own words.

Step 5

Build the first sprint

New sprint → From Jira, or start empty. Set the dates: capacity comes from working days inside them.

Step 6

Invite the client

Pick the client-facing view, choose the columns, send the link. No seat, no charge, no Jira licence.

Two things worth knowing on day one

1Hours have a scope. Sprint hours are what you do in this sprint; feature hours are the whole feature. The full cost comes only from the feature breakdown — never from a guess.
2A final status is “work finished”, not “done well”. From that moment the numbers stop being a plan and start being a fact.
